Baking Tips & Tricks

When making Easy Halloween Bundt Cake Recipe I found it best to use frosting bags to put the batter into the cake pan. This way you can control how much goes in at one time. Plus you can make little and big swirls – making the inside look really cool.

The gray purple color of my second layer of frosting was a total accident. I had left over purple, black, and green frosting from making my Beetlejuice Cookies. I combined them all together in one bag without mixing them thinking it would make a cool spooky color swirl. Needless to say – it didn’t lol. You can use a dark purple or gray for this layer or whatever you like.

What’s The Best Way To Remove A Cake From A Bundt Pan?

Hold the plate or cooling rack firmly against the bottom of the bundt pan. Then, carefully flip the pan and the plate/rack together. The cake should release from the pan and gently drop onto the plate or rack. If the cake doesn’t release immediately, tap the top and sides of the pan gently or give it a little wiggle. This can help loosen the cake from the pan. Slowly lift the bundt pan away from the cake. If the cake sticks a bit, you can use a rubber spatula or your fingers to gently ease it out of the pan.
