What Is The Best Cut Of Steak For Carne Asada?

The best cut of beef for carne asada tacos is typically skirt steak or flank steak. Both of these cuts are lean and flavorful, and they have a nice chewy texture that works well in tacos. Skirt steak is a thinner and longer cut of beef, while flank steak is thicker and wider. We are using Eye Of Round Steak meat which is cut from the leg. It’s super cheap and easy to tenderize.

When selecting the meat, it is important to look for a cut with good marbling and a deep red color. It’s also a good idea to trim away any excess fat or connective tissue before cooking.

What Is Eye Of Round Steak?

The eye of round steak is a lean cut of beef that comes from the round primal cut, specifically from the rear leg of the cow. It’s a kinda tough cut of meat because of the muscle fibers in that area. It is less tender compared to other cuts. This steak is lean and has less marbling, which can make it less flavorful and tender when cooked. That is why it’s important to use cooking methods that help tenderize the meat, such as marinating, slow cooking, or slicing it thinly against the grain to make it more palatable.
